There aren’t many colleges in the United States where you find students asking teachers for more work, but on August 29th when classes began that is exactly what teachers were met with at Assumption College. ACS students are different. They strive to learn, grow in their faith and make a difference.
While walking through the halls, now bustling with students, you can hear newly arrived international students on Rosetta Stone practicing their English. Keyboards are clicking away. Whiteboards are getting dirty once again and the Chapel, the heart of the college, seems more alive and filled with the Holy Spirit than ever.
With students eager to grow in their vocations everywhere you look, it is hard not to be inspired. The students here today will be the teachers of our faith in years to come. Countless people will benefit from them. Teaching a Sister here doesn’t just lead to a degree. It touches the world.
