Giving to Assumption College for Sisters
Each gift to Assumption College for Sisters is an opportunity to touch the world. Your gift provides a new generation of Catholic Sisters with a quality education. These Sisters will mission in the U.S. and throughout the world, providing care and creating hope to those in need.
The Sisters will serve others, regardless of race or religion, with competence and compassion in the areas of health care, education and pastoral ministry. Many of our Sister students come to us from the developing world and study at Assumption College for Sisters on a full scholarship provided by you, our caring and generous donors.
Your gift to Assumption College for Sisters will:
- Provide for the tuition and room and board of a Catholic Sister,
- Provide state of the art equipment to our lab and classrooms,
- Fund the extracurricular activities that enhance the entire student experience.

The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund aims to increase Sister students’ access to higher education and enhance the teaching, learning, research and spiritual growth that Assumption College for Sisters provides. The Annual Fund will be an ongoing lifeline to the Sisters and those they educate because it will build a community of benefactors like you, who understand the College’s mission and are committed to seeing it extended to Sisters and the needy in all parts of the world.

The Sponsor-a-Sister Program
Each year, Assumption College for Sisters provides approximately 25 full scholarships to Sisters from the developing world. Your gift of $10,000.00 will fund a Sister’s tuition and room and board for one year. This is a worthy investment in the formation of a Sister who will reach out to thousands during her lifetime of ministry. Your donation is made to Assumption College for Sisters and is tax deductible. Teach a Sister…touch the world!

The Endowment Fund

Your gift to the Endowment Fund helps insure the long term financial security of Assumption College for Sisters. Interest earned from the invested capital provides for various needs of the college. Donations to the Endowment Fund are tax deductible.

Charitable Planned Giving
What is a Planned Gift?
A planned gift is an irrevocable or revocable gift, given in a creative way to charitable organizations using many different types of assets. It is a way for donors to make gifts to an organization, receive financial benefits, and to make larger gifts than they thought possible. It is also a way to help donors achieve philanthropic and financial objectives as follows:
- Make a major gift and obtain a charitable income tax deduction (examples: direct donation, gifts to the Endowment Fund, gifts to the Memorial Scholarship Fund)
- Avoid or reduce paying capital gains taxes if donation includes increased valued assets
- Avoid probate costs, reduce estate taxes and reduce federal income taxes
- Increase current yield from stocks and bonds
- Plan for retirement and for family
- Provide permanent support for the charitable organization
