24 Sep ACS Field Trip to Sculpture Gardens
On Tuesday, September 13th, Dr. Katherine Doyle took her Art 101- Art History students to visit the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. This course looks at art in terms of the historical, cultural and societal contexts in which it was made. Grounds for Sculpture describes itself as , “a magical place where art and nature are always at play”. It is located in central New Jersey and has more than 270 sculptures on 42 landscaped parkland acres. The trip was not only a learning experience, but fun for all. Dr. Doyle expressed that she “was pleasantly surprised at how interactive it was, and the students loved posing around the sculptures!”
